Can You See Calculator History on iPhone?
You can't check calculator history on your iPhone in the calculator app. This is not only extremely frustrating, but it seems to be a trivial problem that Apple has simply overlooked while creating the app. Unfortunately, even if you've learned how to update to the latest iOS, there is still no way to check calculator history on iPhone. This means that the iPhone's Calculator app is not the best calculator app to use when doing advanced math.
For example, if you are a student and are trying to use the iPhone's calculator app as a decent replacement for a graphing calculator, you will be unable to perform many functions including viewing your calculator history. However, you can turn the iPhone horizontally to open up additional, more advanced functions on the Calculator app. Learn how to use the Calculator app on iPhone. If you like learning about using iPhone apps, be sure to sign up for our free Tip of the Day!
How to Copy Calculator History on iPhone
At best, you can copy the latest result from the calculator app without opening the app. This is the closest thing you can do to view the history on the Calculator app at this time. It's a pretty cool and simple trick to view calculator history without opening the app.
* On your iPhone's Home Screen, press and hold the Calculator app.
* Tap Copy Last Result.
You can paste the result wherever pasting options are available.
iPhone Calculator App that Can See Calculator History
If you're looking for an app that you can download onto your iPhone that will allow you to see calculator history, here are a few potential apps that may work.
1. Ncalc Graphing Calculator 84 - Free
This calculator does almost everything that an expensive graphing calculator does but without the steep price tag.
2. Calculate84 - Sliding scale (lifetime pricing)
This app is as close to a graphing calculator as you can get. Because of that, it is a bit more pricey. However, the app offers pay-what-you-want pricing for a lifetime subscription, which seems great for students.
3. Calculator with History+ - Free
If you just want a calculator app that's easy to use and will allow you to easily see your calculator history, this app is the one. There are no ads, and it's completely free.
For whatever reason, Apple has not implemented the ability to view calculator history on your iPhone. Hopefully, one of these other apps will work for your more advanced computing needs.

How to See Unsent Messages
Unfortunately, if all of your Apple devices are updated to the newest version of iOS, you won’t be able to see unsent messages. However, if you happen to have an older iPhone, iPad, or Mac on hand that is still running iOS/iPadOS 15 or macOS 12, you can see unsent messages. Since unsending messages is only available on newer software versions, unsent messages are still visible on older devices.
This is the only way to see unsent messages in iMessage. When a message is unsent, it is removed from the Notification Center as well, so even if you have iPhone message previews enabled for Messages, you won’t be able to see the preview once the message is unsent. For more secret iPhone features, be sure to sign up for our free Tip of the Day newsletter.
If you don’t want anyone to be able to unsend messages, you can always disable iMessage. However, this means missing out on other iMessage features like typing indicators, read receipts, reactions, and high-quality photos and videos.

What Does RCS Message Mean?
What to Know
* RCS is a communication standard that allows you to use read receipts, group chats, and more without having to use iMessage.
* RCS is more secure than SMS since it uses end-to-end encryption.
* RCS will be coming to iPhones in 2024, but you will still be able to use iMessage.
Last year, Apple announced that it will be bringing RCS messaging to the iPhone. But what does this mean? Will you still be able to use iMessage? Let’s go over the meaning of RCS messaging and how it will affect the way you text moving forward.

* FAQ
What Is RCS Chat?
RCS stands for Rich Communication Services. This is a communication standard that is currently used for Android phones. It is designed to replace SMS and MMS messaging. RCS messaging offers many of the same features that iMessage does, such as typing indicators (the dots you see when someone else is typing), read receipts, reactions, high-quality photo/video files, group chats, and more. Unlike iMessage, however, all types of phones can use RCS instead of just iPhones.
While we don’t know exactly how Apple will implement RCS, it is assumed that it will work similarly to how iMessage currently works, except that you’ll be able to text your Android friends using it. To ensure you’re the first to know when RCS messaging comes to iPhone, be sure to sign up for our free Tip of the Day newsletter.
RCS vs. SMS
Every cell phone uses SMS messaging to some extent. It’s been a standard for decades that allows for sending text messages over your cellular network. MMS works hand-in-hand with SMS to allow you to add photos to a text on iPhone. However, these outdated standards are not very secure and cannot send high-quality media files. This may be why, if you send a photo or video to a friend using an Android, the quality of the image may be severely degraded when your friend receives it.
RCS, on the other hand, is end-to-end encrypted and allows for sending messages over Wi-Fi and data. Because it uses data instead of the cellular network, RCS can send higher-quality images and videos similar to iMessage.
What Does RCS Message Mean for iMessage?
More than likely, iMessage is not going anywhere. You’ll still be able to use iMessage to communicate with your fellow iPhone users.
However, what will change is that it will be much easier to text with non-iPhone users. You’ll even be able to take advantage of many of the same features available through iMessage, like typing indicators, read receipts, reactions, and much more.
FAQ
* What does SMS mean? SMS stands for Short Messaging Service. SMS allows you to send 160-character text messages between different cell phones.
* Is RCS good or bad? RCS is absolutely a good thing. It’s much more secure than SMS and comes with more features than SMS.
* Is RCS messaging free? Technically speaking, RCS is not free, since it requires a cellular data plan or Wi-Fi. However, if you are already paying for a data plan or you have Wi-Fi at your home, RCS messaging is free.
* How do you enable iMessage? If you don't want to use RCS or SMS messaging, be sure to check out our article on how to enable iMessage. You'll be able to text iPhone users with ease through iMessage.

iPhone Not Showing Emails in Inbox? Here's the Fix!
Ack!! Why have my emails disappeared from my inbox?! There are a few reasons emails disappear on an iPhone or iPad. You may not have enough storage on your iPhone, your Mail app or email account may be glitching, or you need to change your Mail settings. But, there are a few simple fixes to try first if your iPad or iPhone is not showing emails in your inbox:
* Make sure that iPadOS or iOS is updated on your iPad or iPhone.
* Hard reboot your iPhone or iPad.
If emails are not showing up on your iPhone after these steps, read on.
Check iPhone Storage & Free Up Space
According to Apple, "If your device is low on storage or has storage full, it automatically frees up space while installing an app, updating iOS or iPadOS, downloading music, recording videos, and more. To make more storage available, your device may also remove items that can be downloaded again or aren't needed anymore." So, if emails disappear from your iPhone or iPad, check your device storage and free up space if necessary!
Check Your Mailbox Settings
If some or all of your email on your iPhone disappeared, there's a setting in the Mail app you need to look into. When you tap Edit on the Mailboxes page, you'll be able to choose which email categories are visible on your iPhone or iPad. If you have missing email on your iPhone or iPad, it may be that one of these categories was accidentally de-selected. It's an easy fix to restore it!
* Open the Mail app.
* Tap Mailboxes at the top of the screen.
* Tap Edit.
* Make sure all the inboxes and other email categories you're used to seeing are checked; tap the circle next to any missing categories.
* Tap Done when you've checked everything you need to, and your lost email should be back in the Mail app.
Change "Mail Days to Sync" to No Limit
If you're still wondering, "How do I get my email back on my iPhone?" it's time to check the Mail Days to Sync setting. Not every email account has this setting; for example, Gmail and Yahoo don't. But, it's worth checking your synced email accounts to see if your email disappeared because those emails sync for a finite time.
* Open the Settings app.
* Tap Mail.
* Tap Accounts.
* Tap Days to Sync, then tap No Limit.
This will get email back on your iPhone that was previously unsynced due to the Days to Sync limit.
Delete and Reinstall the Mail App
If your iPad or iPhone is not showing emails in the inbox still, delete the Mail app from your device, then reinstall the app. This step often gets rid of glitches and bugs, and will hopefully recover the disappeared emails on your iPhone.
Remove and Re-add the Email Account
The next thing to try if iPad or iPhone emails disappear is to delete the email account that the email disappeared from, then add the account back to your Mail app.
Did you get back the missing emails on your iPhone or iPad? If not, check in with Apple Support to see if they can assist you. Also, be sure to check out our free Tip of the Day for more great iPhone email tutorials!

Keep Your Apple ID Secure with a Recovery Key
If you ever forget your Apple ID password or lose access to your account in some way, there are options for recovering it. Setting up a recovery key is one surefire way to guarantee that you can easily regain access to your account. Let’s go over how to set up an Apple account recovery key.
Why You’ll Love This Tip:
* Keep your Apple ID secure and prevent unauthorized access.
* Easily regain access to your account if you are ever locked out.
How to Set Up Apple Recovery Key
System Requirements
This tip works on iPhones running iOS 16 or later. Find out how to update to the latest version of iOS.
When you set up a recovery contact for your Apple ID, you’ll also have the option to add a recovery key. What is an Apple recovery key? It is essentially a randomly generated 28-character code that is tied to your Apple ID. If you forget your Apple ID password and are unable to log into your account, you can use your recovery key to regain access. A recovery key is not required to set up account recovery, but it does add an extra layer of security. For more iPhone security tips, be sure to check out our free Tip of the Day newsletter. Now, here’s how to set up an iPhone recovery key:
* Open the Settings app, and tap your name at the top.
* Tap Sign In & Security.
* Tap Account Recovery.
* Tap Recovery Key.
* Tap the toggle next to Recovery Key.
* Tap Use Recovery Key.
* Enter your iPhone Passcode, and tap Done.
* Your Recovery Key will be displayed. Print it out or write it down somewhere safe. Then, tap Continue.
* On the next screen, enter your Recovery Key to verify it, and tap Next to finish setting up your Recovery Key.
That’s how to set up an iPhone recovery key. Keep this key somewhere safe, as it can be used to gain access to your account, just like a password. Next, find out how to set up iCloud Advanced Data Protection.

All the New Emojis for iOS 17.4
Every time Apple gives us new emojis, it is almost as good as a birthday party. With iOS 17.4, we've received a few new and fun emojis that you can exchange with your friends and family. Let's take a look at the new iOS 17.4 emojis!
Why You'll Love This Tip:
* Check out all the new emojis that came with the iOS 17.4 update.
* Stay updated on the latest emojis and how you might use them.
New iOS 17 Emojis
System Requirements
To perform this tip, your device must be updated to iOS 17.4. Learn how to update to the latest iOS.
The new emojis of iOS 17 are both practical and fun. If you like learning about all the latest software updates, be sure to sign up for our free Tip of the Day!
Image Emojis
The first four new emojis of the iOS 17.4 update are quite random. We've gotten a phoenix, a lime, a brown mushroom, and a broken chain. I can see the lime being particularly useful when asking my best friends if they want to get margaritas, and the broken chain could be used to emphasize my feelings of freedom after being released from work!
Family Emojis
The next set of new Apple emojis is pretty utilitarian. We've got four different kinds of families that also appear to be gender-neutral. You might use this as the family group chat emoji, or in your bio on Facebook.
Shaking Head Emojis
These next emojis are a pair that I can't believe Apple didn't already have! These are the shaking head emojis. One shakes its head back and forth, and the other nods its head up and down. You would use these to answer yes or no in a non-verbal (or textual) way.
Right-Facing Emojis
Lastly, Apple has added right-facing people emojis. Before all of these emojis existed, they just faced to the left. Now, you have both.
Be aware that just like all the other people emojis, you can customize the skin tone, too! All you have to do is tap and hold on the emoji, then select the skin tone you'd like to use.
And those are all the new emojis of iOS 17.4! If you're not sure how to find the new emojis, learn how to search emojis on your iPhone. Let us know which new emoji is your favorite!

What to Do When Messages in iCloud Are Not Available on iPhone, iPad & Mac: First Steps
If messages in iCloud are not available on one or more of your devices, there are a few quick things you can check.
* Make sure that iMessage is enabled and set up properly on all your devices.
* See that your iPhone, iPad, and Mac are all updated to the latest OS.
* If your device is already updated, reboot your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
* Check the Apple System Status page and make sure iMessage has a green dot next to it. If there isn't one, it means messages in iCloud is currently disabled, and you'll need to try to access your messages in iCloud later.
If none of these solve your problem, move on to the next sections.
Make Sure You’re Signed In with the Correct Apple ID
If you're wondering, "Why can't I see my messages on iCloud?" the number one reason the "Messages in iCloud not available because iCloud and iMessage accounts are different" error message pops up is if you are using different Apple IDs on your devices. Check to be sure that you're signed in with the correct Apple ID on whichever Apple device is getting the error message.
On Your iPhone or iPad
* Open the Settings app.
* Tap the banner with your name in it at the top of the page.
* Look to see which Apple ID you've used to sign in.
* Tap Settings to go back to the main menu.
* Tap Messages.
* Tap Send & Receive.
* Make sure the Apple ID at the bottom is the same one you saw in step three.
* If it's not the same, tap the Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
* Sign back in with the Apple ID you saw in step three.
On Your Mac
Now, follow the same steps on your Mac to be sure that you're signed in with the correct Apple ID.
* Click the Apple Menu, then click System Settings (or System Preferences, depending on your macOS).
* Click your name under the Search bar, and make note of your Apple ID.
* Open the Messages app on your Mac.
* Click Settings, then click the iMessage tab at the top. Check if you are using the same Apple ID as in step two, and make sure that Enable Messages in iCloud is checked. If the Apple ID doesn't match, click Sign Out.
* Sign in again with the correct Apple ID.
Other Ways to Fix Messages in iCloud Not Available
If all of your devices are signed in with the correct Apple ID and messages in iCloud are still not available, sign out of your Apple ID on all devices, then sign in again. Still not able to access messages in iCloud? Reset Network Settings to see if that fixes the issue.
If you're still getting an error message, there's one last process to try:
* Turn off iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices.
* Restart your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and any other Apple devices that were using Messages and FaceTime.
* Enable iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices again.
If this hasn't fixed the problem of messages in iCloud not being available, it's time to contact Apple Support. Be sure to check out our free Tip of the Day for more great iCloud tutorials!

How to Drag & Drop Emojis in iMessage
Did you know that you can drag and drop emojis in your iMessage app the same way you can drag stickers and memojis? We didn't either! It's super fun, easy to do, and a great way to communicate with your friends. Here's how to drag an emoji into your messages!
Why You'll Love This Tip:
* Add emojis to your texts like stickers.
* Drag and drop emojis anywhere in your Messages app.
How to Drag Emojis in iMessage
System Requirements
This tip was performed on an iPhone 12 running iOS 17.4 or later. Learn how to update to the latest iOS.
Unlike stickers or memojis, you don't have to create your own to drag and drop emojis in your messages. If you like learning about using your iPhone, be sure to sign up for our free Tip of the Day!
* On your iPhone, open Messages.
* In a text to another iPhone, open the emoji keyboard.
* Find the emoji you'd like to use like a sticker, then tap and hold it. You will see it move slightly as if you are peeling it off the sticker sheet.
* Drag the emoji anywhere in the messages window. Release it to place it like a sticker.
* If you want to move it later, press and hold it again until it comes unstuck, and then move it where you like!
Note
If you try this with an Android user, the emoji will simply appear as a normal text with that single emoji. It will not stay wherever you place it in the text window because this feature only works with iMessage.
And that's how you drag emojis into your texts with friends! Have fun!

Have fun!

How to Troubleshoot Keyboard Not Working on iPhone
A lot of the time, any issues with the iOS keyboard are related to the app that you are using the keyboard in. If you've noticed your keyboard not working in multiple or all apps, skip to the next step. Otherwise, try the steps below if you experience the keyboard on your iPhone not working:
* Force quit the app you are using the keyboard in by swiping all the way up from the bottom of your display, then swiping up again over the app.
* Restart your iPhone to fix any random glitches.
* Make sure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS in case this is a known software issue that has been fixed by Apple.
* Try uninstalling the app that keeps having keyboard problems and re-installing it again.
Once you take these steps and try to use the keyboard again, go slow and make sure your app is fully loaded before you start typing. Sometimes, if you get too excited and start typing too early in the Messages app, for example, the app will have issues loading and can crash, or the keyboard will lag. Apple Maps vs Google Maps: Which Should You Use?
What to Know
* Apple Maps has a more simple design, is more private, can be voice-controlled using Siri, and is only available on Apple devices.
* Google Maps tends to have better traffic information, a more advanced Street View, and better public transportation directions.
Google Maps and Apple Maps are two of the most popular map apps for iPhone users, but which is better? For a long time, Google Maps has been the better choice, but Apple Maps has transformed into a worthy competitor. Both apps have many similar features, but there are small differences that might make you pick one over the other.
Google Maps vs. Apple Maps: Which Is the Best Navigation App for iPhone?
For many years, Google Maps has been the most popular map app for Android and iPhone users. However, Apple Maps has gotten many much-needed updates over the past few years, so if you haven't used it in a while, you'll notice many new features. At this point, both apps will smoothly get you from A to B, but there are some distinctions that may sway you.
Why Apple Maps is Better for iPhone Users
I am a recent Apple Maps convert because I have an Apple Watch, and I enjoy having the directions automatically show on my watch - it makes navigating so much easier. This is actually possible with Google Maps, but I find that it works more seamlessly with Apple Maps. Apple Maps also lets you refill your Apple Wallet transit cards directly in the Maps app, which is super convenient. Unfortunately, this is only available in certain cities and countries for now.
Another perk of using Apple Maps is privacy since Apple has focused so much on keeping user data private. Since Google makes its revenue using ads, it uses the locations you navigate to and from to improve and personalize the ads it serves you. That being said, a big drawback of Apple Maps is that the app is only available to Apple users, so unless you own an Apple device, you can't access it.
Apple Maps also has a much more simple interface and map design. All the buttons are in one place, everything is easy to find, and you only see the most important information without overwhelming you. That being said, if you are used to Google Maps, you won’t have too much trouble navigating the app, but many users find Apple Maps a little easier to navigate. That being said, I live in a condo complex that was built five years ago and it only recently showed up on Google Maps and still shows me living in the middle of dirt on Apple Maps. For more iPhone app recommendations, check out our free Tip of the Day.
Interesting Fact
China has one of the world's biggest populations, and all Google products, including Google Maps, are banned there. While it is possible to use Google Maps if you have a VPN, Apple Maps works there just fine.
Why Google Maps is Better for iPhone Users
Since Google Maps was the leading maps app for years, it is still the go-to for many iPhone users today. While Apple Maps has added features such as Street View and multi-stop route planning, Google has offered these for years. They are even working on Immersive View which will let you see inside businesses, but there is no information on when it will be released.
While Apple Maps is trying to get better at this, Google Maps is still better at giving you detailed information about businesses, including live updates on how busy a business is. Although this is more subjective, from my experience, traffic information is also better on Google Maps. Similarly, Google Maps is also mostly accurate when it comes to announcing public transportation delays, and it can help you figure out a less busy commute time.
Finally, since Google Maps is available to all users, unlike Apple Maps, you can safely share links to locations from Google Maps, knowing that most people will be able to access them. Because navigation apps get so much better from crowdsourcing, the fact that more people have access to Google Maps is definitely a huge perk.
So, is Apple Maps better than Google Maps? Not necessarily, but it might be based on your needs and preferences. If privacy is important to you, then Apple Maps is definitely better. However, Google Maps has more features and has been the best maps app for years. That being said, both Google Maps and Apple Maps do their job and help you navigate and explore locations all around the world. Do you prefer Google Maps or Apple Maps? Leave your comment below!
FAQ
* Is there an Apple Maps Street View? If you tap the Binoculars icon, you can experience something similar to Google Street View. Apple Maps also offers a 3D street-level experience for certain cities that clearly show any inclines and the height of various buildings.
* Can you map out a run or a road trip with Apple Maps? Yes! You can use Apple Maps to map out a route in advance so that you have all the necessary information to stay safe and to reach your destination on time.
* How do I troubleshoot Apple Maps not working? The quickest way to fix Apple Maps not working is to make sure your device is up-to-date, check your network connection, and make sure cellular data is enabled for Maps. A quick iPhone restart might help as well.

Why Is FaceTime Video Not Working on iPhone & iPad?
If FaceTime video isn't working for you, whether FaceTime is not showing the other person, or they can't see you, there are a few basic fixes to try first. Make sure your iPhone or iPad has the latest iPadOS or iOS update, and reboot your iPhone or iPad. If these steps don't get your FaceTime camera and video working again, read on.
Check Your Cellular or Wi-Fi Signal
Video not working on FaceTime? If you're wondering, "why is my FaceTime camera not working?", it's important to know that FaceTime calls require a strong cellular or Wi-Fi signal to work properly. If FaceTime is not showing the other person, they can't see you, or the video is glitching, hang up, close the FaceTime app, open it again, and try the call once more to see if the signal is better. If not, check your Wi-Fi and cellular signal.
Your cellular signal is represented by four vertical bars at the top-right corner of your iPhone or iPad screen; the more bars are white, the better the signal. Your Wi-Fi connection is represented by a three-part wedge shape at the top-right corner of your screen; the more lines are white, the stronger the signal.
If you notice that you don't have a strong cellular or Wi-Fi signal, move closer to the router, or to a place where your device can get a stronger cellular signal, then try your FaceTime call again.
Check the FaceTime Camera on iPhone & iPad
"Why can't I see the other person on FaceTime?" Well, they may have their FaceTime camera turned off, or something may be obstructing the camera. If they can't see you, then you need to make sure your camera is unobstructed and turned on. Here's how you can both check:
* Tap the screen while on your FaceTime call to reveal menu options, and make sure that the camera icon has a white background like the one below, indicating that the camera is on.
* If the camera icon looks like the one below, without a white background, and FaceTime only shows initials or a photo icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen, tap the camera icon to turn the camera on.
Is the Camera in Use by Another App?
Video on FaceTime not working still? Check to make sure that your iPhone or iPad's camera isn't being used by another app.
* Open the Control Center, and look at the top of the screen to see if another app is using the camera. In the below screenshot, we can see that the Camera app is using the camera. (If FaceTime is using the camera, you will see FaceTime written by the icons.)
* If another app is using the camera, open the App Switcher, find the app using the camera, and close that app.

Is AppleCare Worth It for iPhone?
What to Know
* Every new iPhone comes with AppleCare: a one-year Apple Limited Warranty and free product support for 90 days.
* AppleCare+ is paid insurance that covers user-caused damage and offers affordable repairs.
* AppleCare Theft and Loss is an AppleCare+ add-on that offers further protection.
New iPhones may come with a free year of AppleCare, but Apple’s Limited Warranty does not cover user-caused damage such as cracked screens. You can purchase AppleCare+ and additional Theft and Loss coverage to enjoy affordable repairs and even device replacement. But is AppleCare+ worth the additional $100+ annually? It depends.

The Difference Between AppleCare and AppleCare+
Every new Apple product, including the iPhone, comes with complimentary AppleCare. AppleCare offers users a one-year limited warranty and includes complimentary setup, hardware, and software support over the phone, online, or in-store for 90 days after purchase. This limited iPhone insurance covers defects in materials and workmanship for one year of regular use; accidental or water damage is not included.
AppleCare can be voided if the device is jailbroken or serviced by anyone who is not an Apple Authorized Service Provider. If you want more comprehensive coverage that can even include theft or loss, you should definitely consider AppleCare+. To learn more about insuring your Apple Products, sign up for our free Tip of the Day newsletter.

Is AppleCare+ Worth It?
The short answer is yes! Depending on your iPhone model and whether you want to add Theft and Loss coverage, AppleCare+ costs between $9.99 and $13.99 a month. It covers an unlimited number of incidents of damage, even if it is user-caused, but you have to pay a deductible for each repair. According to Apple Support's repair cost estimation calculator, replacing the screen on your iPhone 15 will cost you $29 with AppleCare Plus and $329 without.
Pro Tip
Keep in mind that you need to purchase AppleCare+ within 60 days of buying your new iPhone, so if you like the sounds of this program, sign up sooner rather than later! You can opt for a single-pay or monthly bill plan.
Since a brand new higher-end iPhone can easily cost $1,000 or even more, I have always felt that the small monthly fee was worth the peace of mind. AppleCare+ alone is great because it offers a wide variety of repairs, such as screen replacement for $29 and water damage repairs for a $99 deductible fee.
Plus, you can get your battery replaced if it falls below 80% of its original capacity. I always opt to pay the additional few dollars to also get Theft and Loss, which gives me two iPhone replacements if the device is lost or stolen, and will only cost you $149 even if your phone is worth $1,200. The only thing not covered by AppleCare+ are "acts of God," such as earthquakes or fires.
How Much Is AppleCare+?
The cost of AppleCare+ depends on which model of iPhone you've purchased. An iPhone 15 will cost you $149 for two years or $7.99 per month. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max costs $199 for the full two years of coverage or $9.99 per month. The iPhone SE (3rd generation) will cost you $79 for two years or $3.99 per month. You can find the price for your iPhone or other Apple device on Apple’s website.
How to Get AppleCare+
Your new iPhone comes with AppleCare for 90 days, but for extended AppleCare+ insurance, you can sign up and pay for it separately. You have to sign up within 60 days of buying your phone. Most people sign up for AppleCare Plus when they buy their phone. To do it afterward:
* Open Buy an AppleCare plan and tap Choose a product to cover.
* Select iPhone from the drop-down menu.
* Select your model.
* Tap Continue and follow the on-screen instructions to sign into your Apple account. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to finalize the purchase.
Now you know how to get cell phone insurance for your iPhone! This article can help you find your serial number. Now you'll be able to make AppleCare claims if you damage your iPhone.
Now you know the pros and cons of AppleCare+! If you are the type of person who never breaks or loses their phone, you might consider skipping it. I have purchased it for every iPhone and ended up not using it, but after having one phone fall in the river and another stolen, I appreciate the peace of mind of having AppleCare+ in case I ever need it.
FAQ
* How do I know if I have AppleCare? You can check if you have AppleCare or AppleCare+ by going to mysupport.apple.com, logging in, and selecting your iPhone.
* How do I cancel AppleCare for iPhone? You can cancel AppleCare+ as long as you purchased it in full less than 30 days ago. According to the AppleCare return policy, you’ll have to contact Apple Support.
* Is AppleCare worth it for Macs? It depends on your situation, but I definitely find getting AppleCare worth it for Macs because, after my 14-inch 2021 MacBook Pro developed lines on the display, the repair cost $1,036 without warranty rather than $99 if I had had AppleCare Plus.
* What iPhones are Waterproof? None, but many iPhones are water-resistant to a certain degree.
* Does AppleCare cover water damage? AppleCare does not cover water insurance, but AppleCare+ does, for a $99 deductible fee.

* Select your model.

What Does Restarting Your Phone Do? Benefits & Risks
What to Know
* Restarting your iPhone regularly is important for digital hygiene.
* Background applications and programs will shut down, and your iPhone will have a chance to cool down.
* If anything isn't working as it should, rebooting your iPhone might take care of the issue.
What happens when you restart your phone? Many of us feel nervous about restarting our iPhones, a worry perhaps left over from having seen browser tabs and Word documents disappear when a computer crashed or updated. But restarting your iPhone has a much lower risk of losing data and many benefits. Here's what happens when you restart your iPhone.
What Will Restarting Your Phone Do?
Restarting your iPhone has many benefits. It will stop all background tasks that are running, which might save you battery and processing power you didn't know you were using. It will also close apps and allow your iPhone to cool down if it was overheating. If your iPhone is glitching, it allows the software to reset and may pull it out of whatever loop it was in that was causing the errors.
Restarting your iPhone regularly can keep too many tasks from running at once, which drains your battery, which can negatively affect your battery's overall health. For more ways to keep your iPhone running in tip-top shape, check out or free Tip of the Day newsletter.
Does Rebooting Hurt Your iPhone?
What does rebooting do to your iPhone? Rebooting your iPhone will almost never hurt it or lose any significant data. However, this is not to be confused with factory resetting your iPhone, which is a very different thing and will erase much more data and require you to restore from a backup or lose unsaved data. Just turning your iPhone off and on, however, will lose very little, if anything, mostly depending on what you have open and what apps you are running.
FAQ
* How do you restart your iPhone? You can restart your iPhone by turning it off and on again. Force restarting your iPhone can help if your iPhone is frozen.
* Will I lose anything if I restart my iPhone? No data or apps will be deleted by restarting your iPhone, but drafts of text or unsaved content in apps might be deleted.
* Does restarting your phone fix problems? Restarting is a common troubleshooting step, and for good reason. Many glitches and errors can be solved by restarting your phone.

Answered: Can the Apple Watch Measure Blood Pressure?
What to Know
* The Apple Watch cannot measure blood pressure, but you can connect to third-party blood pressure monitors.
* You can purchase a Withings Smart Blood Pressure Monitor from the Apple Store.
* Most smart blood pressure monitors can be used with both the iPhone and the Apple Watch.
One of the many great benefits of the Apple Watch is that you can use it to monitor your health. You can meet your exercise goals, measure your heart rate, track your sleep, and much more. But can the Apple Watch measure blood pressure? Let’s find out!
Does Apple Watch Measure Blood Pressure?
The short answer is no. The Apple Watch is not equipped to measure your blood pressure on its own. However, if you have a compatible blood pressure monitoring device that has an Apple Watch app, you can connect your watch via Bluetooth and get blood pressure results that way. While Apple does not manufacture such a device, it does offer a Withings Smart Blood Pressure Monitor.
This cuff can connect to your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch through the Withing Health Mate app. With this app, you can measure your blood pressure with your Apple Watch. However, if you suffer from hypertension or another blood pressure-related illness, it’s best to check with your doctor to find the best Apple Watch blood pressure monitor for you.
That said, you're not the first person to wish that your Apple Watch could measure your blood pressure. According to Apple analysts like Mark Gurman, the next generation of Apple Watch may include blood-pressuring monitoring, so stay tuned. Stay up to date with the latest Apple devices when you sign up for our free Tip of the Day newsletter.
FAQ
* Can I check my blood pressure on my iPhone? Like the Apple Watch, the iPhone on its own cannot measure your blood pressure. You will need a compatible third-party accessory. Most smart blood pressure devices also have a blood pressure app for iPhone, so if you don’t have an Apple Watch, you can still use smart monitors, such as the Withings Smart Blood Pressure Monitor.
* Does the Apple Watch show real-time heart rate data? You can measure your heart rate in real time with the Apple Watch. Check out our article on how to check your heart rate on Apple Watch to find out more information. And if you're wondering what the green light on Apple Watch means, it's most likely the heart-rate sensor.
* Can Apple Watch accurately measure blood oxygen? If you have an Apple Watch Series 6 or newer there is a blood oxygen app that can measure your current blood oxygen level. Take a look at our article on how to check blood oxygen on Apple Watch for further details. The app is not available in all regions, so check the Apple website to find out if the app is available in your country.

When Does an Android Beat an iPhone?
Anyone who knows me will tell you I’m an Apple head, but I wasn’t always this way. I’ve had a smartphone in my pocket ever since they became mainstream, and that smartphone has been an iPhone since 2019. The heated Android vs. iPhone debate has always interested me because of the almost fanatical passion on both sides. Let me tell you all the things that Android phones do better than iPhones and why I don’t see myself switching back to Android anytime soon.
The Android Advantage
As of 2015, there were almost 1,300 companies creating tens of thousands of different types of Android phones. This gives Android users a greater selection to pick from than iPhone users could ever imagine, including the exciting Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, LG Wing, or the Pixel Fold. They come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors, with myriad buttons, physical features, and gimmicks. Not only does this make it harder to pick which Android phone to buy, it’s also difficult to compare this wide range of devices to the flagship iPhones.
One thing that’s true for all Android phones is they are incredibly customizable and give users control over their device’s interface and basic features. The average user might not appreciate this enough to care, but if you are into tinkering with your phone, Android is definitely the way to go. If you prefer a uniform design, even when you upgrade, iPhones may be more your speed.
Android phones also tend to be the first to get exciting new features, like the ability to use AI to make sure everyone in a group photo is smiling or to remove background noise in videos. But these new features don’t come without glitches.
The iPhone Comes in Swinging
I switched to the iPhone 11 after spending two months and hundreds of dollars struggling to replace my Pixel 3’s cracked screen. Three different stores said, “If this was an iPhone, we could do it in 10 minutes for $25.” It took me a week to fall in love with the simplicity and speed of iOS, although I did not find it to be as intuitive as I expected.
My only true complaint is that iPhones work great, but only with other Apple devices. Not being able to use all the iOS features I love in texts with my Android-user friends is ridiculous. Luckily for everyone, Apple is finally talking about adopting the standards used by everyone else in the upcoming year—fingers crossed!
My favorite thing about the iPhone is how it works with the Apple ecosystem and makes it easy to build a smart home that I can easily control with all my Apple devices. I love being able to copy and paste across devices and cast my iPhone, MacBook, or iPad to another screen. For more on iOS, be sure to sign up for our free Tip of the Day newsletter!
I am also impressed with AppleCare Plus and how affordable yet reliable it is when it comes to fixing and extending the lifespan of my iPhone and other Apple products. Plus, an iPhone retains its value like no other phone: I have sold used iPhones and Apple Watches for 80% of their purchased price a year later. Not that you have to upgrade right away—I know many people who still love their iPhone 6. Apple still offers official iOS updates to iPhones that are 7+ years old. Now how many people do you know who still use their Pixel 2 or Galaxy S7?
Tracking the Score
Feature: App Stores
Android: 2,500,000+ apps through the Google Play
Store.
iPhone: 1,760,000+ apps through the Apple App Store.
Winner: Android
Feature: New Feature Releases
Android: Releases new features often, but they can be glitchy when they first come out, especially with heavily customized phones.
iPhone: Tests new features extensively before releasing them to the public to minimize glitches.
Winner: iPhone
Feature: Available Languages
Android: Available in 100+ languages.
iPhone: Available in 28 languages, including variants and dialects.
Winner: Android
Feature: Supporting Devices
Android: Offers supporting devices, but they don’t compare to Apple’s flagship devices.
iPhone: Works with Apple Watch Ultra and AirPods Pro, which are the best in the market for their respective device categories.
Winner: iPhone
Feature: Virtual Assistant
Android: Google Assistant tends to answer more complicated questions better.
iPhone: Siri will often provide a link with more information that you need to read yourself.
Winner: Android
Feature: Virus Vulnerability
Android: Prone to getting viruses and are more lenient with developers allowed to have apps in the Google Play Store.
iPhone: Rarely get viruses and the App Store has strict privacy and security guidelines.
Winner: iPhone
Feature: Value Retention
Android: Works great for a couple of years but gets outdated fast.
iPhone: Retain their value for an impressively long time.
Winner: iPhone
And the Winner Is…
Sure, hearing about the Pixel 8’s Audio Magic Eraser and BestTake features has me jealous. I can’t wait until Apple has similar features that use AI to isolate/remove unwanted sounds or make sure that the group photo shows off everyone’s best selves! But the thing with smartphone companies is that they are always borrowing each other’s ideas and using them to make their phone the best one; it’s only a matter of time before the iPhone has all these features in an even more streamlined way!
No matter if you prefer Android or iPhone, it is hard to keep up with the latest tech because something new and exciting is always coming out. Plus, no matter how many photos Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra-wielding friends show me, I still feel like my Phone 15 Pro Max’s 48-Megapixel camera with five levels of optical zoom takes better photos. Plus, my phone was cheaper!
