Review: Jabra Elite Active 75t Earbuds for Working Out

I have a special place in my heart for Jabra, as the company made the first Bluetooth earpiece I ever owned about a decade ago. So I'm always interested in their latest model. I saw them at CES and was able to pick up a review unit of the Elite Active 75t ($199.99). First, it looks great, and is sold in assorted colors including black, black with copper, navy blue, mint green, and sienna. If you want to stand apart from the boring, white-AirPod-wearing crowd, these will help. They fit snuggly in the ear and have adjustable tips to help stay in during workouts for active users, hence the name.

Like the AirPods Pro, they fit in a similarly-sized charging case, but that case charges via USB-C not Lightning and not Qi wireless charging. Still, the earbuds offer an impressive 7.5 hours of battery life and that case can expand that to 28 hours. They also support fast charging resulting in one hour of battery life from 15 minutes of charging.

The Elite Active 75t have built-in integration with both Apple's Siri and Google Voice Assistants. A really cool enhancement is customizable transparency mode, via Jabra's app. Instead of a binary "on or off" option like the AirPods Pro, you can adjust a slider to determine how much of the outside world you want to bring in. Music also sounds great and you can tweak the sound via an equalizer in that app.
