How to See Deleted Calls on iPhone

Unlike Messages and Photos on the iPhone, there's no way to easily recover a deleted call log. Once you have deleted your call history, the only way to view your call history is to revert your iPhone to a previous backup from before you deleted the calls. Because this is a fair amount of work, I recommend only restoring a backup if the deleted calls are important and there's no other way to retrieve the numbers (such as messaging someone on social media).

Note: Be cautious of third-party apps that claim to recover deleted call history, since this requires giving them access to your personal data. For most people, the best option is to to revert to a previous backup to retrieve the deleted phone calls.

How to Recover Call History on iPhone via iCloud Backup

Using Finder on your Mac, you can restore a backup to your iPhone from iCloud or from the computer. This is the simplest way to restore your iPhone from iCloud or another backup.

* After you've connected your iPhone to your computer using a USB or USB-C cable, open Finder.

* Click on your iPhone's name in the left side bar.

* In the General tab, click Restore Backup.

* In the menu that appears, click the backup you'd like to restore to your device.

* If the backup is encrypted, enter your password.

* Click Restore.

If you backed your iPhone up on your PC or older Mac using iTunes instead of restoring from iCloud, you'll want to read our article covering how to restore an iPhone using iTunes. For more ways to keep your data safe, check out our free Tip of the Day Newsletter.

To view recently deleted texts, open the Messages app, tap "Edit", then select "Show Recently Deleted". You'll be able to view texts that were deleted within the last thirty days.

And that's how to find deleted calls on iPhone! While this is currently the best method, hopefully, Apple will develop a simpler way to access your recently deleted iPhone calls.
