How to Set Up Apple’s Authenticator App

Two-factor or multi-factor authentication keeps your accounts secure. Everyone who values their security and privacy should have multi-factor authentication enabled for every online account that offers it. You can usually do this with either your phone number or an authenticator app. Luckily, your iPhone has a built-in Apple authenticator app.

Why You Should Use a Code Generator App
Using authenticator apps for multi-factor authentication makes it harder for hackers to gain access to your accounts. Having a second factor ensures that if someone obtains your password, they will be unable to log into your account because they would need the six-digit code provided by the authenticator app.
But did you know Apple has an authenticator app built into iCloud Keychain? While you can install third-party authenticator apps like Google’s or Microsoft’s code generator apps, you can also opt to use Apple’s. Any of these apps are good choices, as long as you are using multi-factor authentication.
How to Set Up Authenticator App on iPhone
If you use Apple’s password generator with iCloud Keychain, you can also generate six-digit multi-factor authentication codes. You’ll need to set it up for each account, individually. Now, to get started, visit the website you want to set up multi-factor authentication for. You’ll need to go into your account settings on the website and find the security section. Then, here’s how to set up your authenticator app on iPhone:
* Visit the website where you want to add multi-factor authentication and navigate to your account settings. For this example, I used my Etsy account, but this will work with many different sites.
* Tap the Security tab.
* Tap Turn on 2FA (or a similar button).
* Some websites will offer different authentication options, such as SMS.
* To use the Apple Authenticator app, tap Authenticator App.
* The site will display a QR code, as well as a setup key. Keep these on hand, as you proceed.
* Now, open the Settings app, and tap Passwords.
* Find the account you want to add verification codes to and tap it.
* Under Account Options, tap Set Up Verification Code…
* Tap Enter Setup Key or Scan QR Code. If your account provided you with a QR code, I recommend that option, as setup keys are usually very long strings of letters and numbers.
* Once you’ve scanned the QR code or entered the setup key, the verification code will automatically be added to the password page. You’ll see it under the password. Tap it to copy it to your clipboard.
* Return to your web browser, and enter the verification code (if you copied it in the previous step, you can simply paste it here). Tap Continue to finish setting up 2FA for this account.
That’s how to set up your authenticator app on iPhone. Your iPhone will automatically generate a new code every 30 seconds so the code you need to enter when logging in will be different every time. Next, find out how to share passwords on iPhone.

What is Contact Key Verification?
While iMessage is end-to-end encrypted, Contact Key Verification adds an extra step of security by allowing you to verify the person you are texting is who they say they are. This works by assigning a unique code to your Apple ID, which your contacts can use to verify your identity when texting you (and vice versa). iMessage handles this verification process automatically in the background, but if an error is detected, you will be notified that the person you are texting may not be who they claim to be. On top of that, you can also manually verify your contacts using a personal, individual verification code found within the Messages app. In the following section, we'll show you how to turn on the new Contact Key Verification setting and how to use it to verify a contact.
How to Enable Contact Key Verification on iPhone
Your messages are encrypted when sending and receiving them, but Apple's new Contact Key Verification system lets you ensure you’re texting the person you intend to text. * Open the Settings app, and tap your name at the top.
* Scroll to the bottom and tap Contact Key Verification.
* Tap the toggle to enable Contact Key Verification.
* Tap Continue.
* If you have outdated devices tied to your Apple ID, you will need to remove them before continuing.
* Once Contact Key Verification has been activated, the toggle will be green. You can tap Show Public Verification Code to view your own code.
* To verify another person’s code, simply open their conversation in iMessages, and tap their contact icon. Scroll to the bottom, and then, tap Verify Contact… To get a verification code, both of you must open each other's contact card and tap Verify Contact at the same time.
* Compare your verification code with the other person either in-person or over the phone. Tap Mark as Verified if they match. If not, tap No Match.
* Now your contact's personal verification code will be saved to their contact card. Tap Update to save this information.
* In your contact's card, you'll now see a "verified" check under Advanced Message Security.
Note: Contact Key Verification only works if both parties have already set this feature up. If you don't see the Verify Contact option, that means the other person does not have this feature enabled.

If your iPhone shuts off randomly, even with some battery left, this can signal a defective or dying battery. However, this isn't always the case! There are several reasons why your iPhone might be turning off without warning. We'll cover common fixes and show you how to check your battery to see if your iPhone needs service.

Why Does My iPhone Keep Turning Off with Battery Left?
There are several potential reasons why your iPhone is shutting off, even though it has battery left. The most common reason is that your iPhone battery is defective or the capacity to hold charge has diminished over time. However, your iPhone suddenly shutting off can also signal software issues from buggy apps, outdated software, or an overheated device from power-intensive apps.
How to Stop Your Phone from Turning Off by Itself
First things first: if your phone shuts off without warning, place your hand on the back of your iPhone and check the device temperature. If your device feels hot to the touch, it may have turned off due to overheating. This is especially likely if you placed your iPhone in the sun or were using power-intensive gaming apps. If your device temperature feels normal, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Restart Your iPhone If It Shuts Off Randomly
If your iPhone has been turning off even though it still has battery left, your first troubleshooting step should be to turn your iPhone on and off. Restarting your iPhone resets your device at a software level and is a great way to fix program issues causing your iPhone to switch on and off at random intervals. For an iPhone X or later (any iPhone model without a Home button), here's how to turn it on and off:
* Press and hold one of the Volume buttons and the Side button.
* When the power off screen appears, slide to power off your iPhone.
* Press and hold one of the Volume buttons and the Side button to switch your iPhone back on.
Restarting your iPhone is a common fix, but even if this does seem to resolve the issue, I recommend checking your iPhone battery health in the section below. This is important since your iPhone turning off randomly can signal a diminished battery capacity.
Force Restart Your iPhone
A force restart cuts the power from the phone's battery to the hardware, allowing you to reset at a hardware level. The steps to force restart your iPhone differ from those for a regular restart. To force restart your iPhone:
* Click and release the Volume Up button.
* Click and release the Volume Down button.
* Press hold the Side button until the power off screen appears, then slide to power off your iPhone.
Hopefully, your iPhone will begin functioning normally after the force restart! However, I still recommend checking your iPhone battery health in the section below since your iPhone turning off randomly is one of the classic signs of a defective or dying battery.
Check Your iPhone Battery Health
Follow the steps below to check your iPhone battery health. This is a great way to determine if you need to get your device serviced or if the solutions listed here will likely stop your iPhone from turning off without warning.
* Open the Settings app and tap Battery.
* Tap Battery Health & Charging.
* This screen will display information about your battery's capacity, peak performance, and whether your battery needs to be serviced.
A few things to watch for: if your battery's Maximum Capacity on the screen above is below 80 percent, by Apple's guidelines, you need to contact Apple Support and get the battery checked out. A battery capacity below 80 percent is likely the reason your iPhone randomly shuts off and isn't holding charge. Also, if you see any warning messages about your iPhone needing service or suggestions on how to improve your battery health, you should follow those prompts to see if they resolve your issue.
Note
If you have AppleCare+ and your battery's Maximum Capacity is below 80 percent, you can replace your iPhone battery with no additional charge.
Install Software Updates to Stop Your iPhone Turning Off
If your iPhone battery health seems normal, another great preventative measure is to check for available software updates, as outdated software may be causing your iPhone to keep turning on and off without reason. Here's how to check for available software updates:
* Open the Settings app and tap General.
* Select Software Update.
* If you see an available update, select Update Now.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software update. The steps above are a quick summary for those fairly familiar with the software update process. Factory Reset Your iPhone & Restore from a Backup
If you've followed the steps above and your iPhone still turns off with a full battery, it's time to do a factory reset. A factory reset erases your iPhone data and settings. While it is time-consuming, this is an excellent way to resolve underlying issues with settings, content, and software. To do this, you'll need to create a backup of your iPhone data, perform the factory reset, and then restore the backup on your iPhone after the reset. GuitarTuna is ranked the world’s #1 tuner app by both Apple and Google. This app has been my go-to for almost a decade, and it has never disappointed me. It is easy to navigate with a simple user interface and is surprisingly accurate when it comes to tuning the strings. There are a multitude of tuning options, including Drop D, Drop A, and more. You can enable a metronome and adjust the tempo settings to stay on track while playing. The app also includes access to chords and lyrics for popular songs, but the best part is that it’s completely free!
Ultimate Guitar: Chords & Tabs - (Free or $9.99/month)
Ultimate Guitar has been a staple for amateur guitar learners since the early days of the internet. I remember printing off chord sheets from the website in high school in an attempt to learn a Taylor Swift song. But now, with the Ultimate Guitar app, I no longer have to print them out! The app makes saving your favorite tabs and chords super simple so that you can easily access them later. Additionally, the auto-scroll feature makes it easy to follow along while you’re playing. One of my favorite features is the ability to transpose the chords up and down so they suit whatever pitch you desire. While the free version of the app is an amazing staple for any guitarist, the paid subscription not only eliminates unwanted and annoying ads, but you also gain access to 1,500 courses that vary based on skill level.
YouTube - (Free)
Without a doubt, the wealth of free, easily accessible, and comprehensive knowledge available on YouTube is a priceless commodity. You can learn how to play almost anything on the guitar via YouTube by simply searching for it. Some of my favorite creators are Lauren Bateman, Marty Music, Justin Guitar, and Guitar Lessons 365. You can find anything from very basic beginner’s content to advanced tutorials on some of the most famous guitar riffs of the last sixty years. If there’s any app that comes close to providing an in-person, face-to face learning experience for guitar players while also being completely free to use, YouTube is the one.
GarageBand - (Free)
When it comes to music-producing apps, GarageBand is by no means the best or the brightest. But the advantage of GarageBand is that it’s not very difficult to use. Someone with relative technological savvy and familiarity with Apple interfaces will not find this app’s learning curve too steep. If you’re looking to record your playing or you’re ready to produce a real song with added drums, synthesizers, and audio effects, you can easily do it in GarageBand while still having fun! So many music-producing apps are like pulling teeth to use or seemingly require years and years of practice and a university course to figure out. So, while GarageBand is not the go-to app for professional music producers, it’s an excellent app for those of us who want to produce a song and don’t want to pull teeth to do so. Plus, it comes free on most Apple devices!
Fender Play - ($19.99/month)
If you’re looking for an app tailored specifically to teaching people how to play the guitar, Fender Play is the one. With both comprehensive and bite-sized videos, the experienced instructors go into detail as they break down exactly how a particular song is played. The two-fold view of the fretboard from both the front and the top during instruction is extremely helpful when trying to figure out where your fingers are supposed to go. Another cool feature of this app is the Integrated Lesson Feedback, which is a listening technology that can assess your playing and provide helpful notes. The app also comes with built-in practice motivators like streaks and reminders that will help you build this hobby into a long term creative outlet. This app has so many cool features and hidden gems that make the steep price point worth it if you want something more attuned to learning guitar than YouTube.
One of the best parts of the internet is the access to tools, teachers, and information that help us to learn new skills without ever needing to leave the house. No more stockpiling of chord and songbooks or straining your ear to figure out the right chord to play. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, these apps have something to offer any guitarist who always has their phone close by.

Placing AirTags with R’s keys, wallet, and car allows us to find misplaced items, and for me to locate R on a map (she still drives in our small town). I also use the People option in the Find My app. It shows me where R is on a map and lets me receive notifications when R leaves or arrives at our house, the grocery store, or wherever. After noticing how R admired my new Apple Watch, I bought her one. As I hoped, she likes it a lot and usually remembers to wear and charge it. She enjoys the different bands and watch faces that I switch out for her, laughing at Minnie Mouse. Her watch face of choice is the Photos face, which rotates each time she raises her wrist.
I like that fall detection can automatically dial emergency services in case of a fall. However, I am concerned that after a minor fall, she won’t know how to stop the call. She can also press the Side button to call emergency services, though it requires her to remember how. The Activities app, by default, reminds R to stand up each hour. The Health app notifies her to take her supplements every morning.
On her iPhone, I create the week’s schedule for when she should meet me at my office and when I will be home. After I added the “Your Schedule” complication to her watch face, R sees time, day of the week, date, and the next event—something she always gets a kick out of. When she asks about when she will see me next, I just remind her to check her watch. Passcodes on the iPhone and Apple Watch proved troublesome, so I turned them off. There is not much to protect.
At home, R’s iPhone could be anywhere, so when I called her, she often didn’t answer. Now I can call R, and she answers with her watch. I’ve set her watch sound volume to the max and turned on Prominent for the haptic vibration, so she always answers my calls and sees my text messages.
If R didn’t have an iPhone, I could have used the Family Setup option to control R’s watch with my iPhone. In Wi-Fi or cellular range, she could be seen on a map and make and receive phone calls.
I’d like an icon with my photo on R’s watch face so that she would only have to touch to call me. Unfortunately, the Photos watch face, which R likes so much, in effect only supports one extra complication with a limited selection of options. Most watch faces do support this function though, using the Phone complication.
With Walkie Talkie, if I am at the office and R at home, I can just start talking to her through the watch. I must remind her to hold and press the icon to talk to me, which doesn’t always work well, but at least I’ve made immediate contact.
After purchasing R’s Wi-Fi-only Apple Watch, I discovered BoundaryCare, which requires a cellular connection. The app assists caregivers in keeping loved ones safe. It alerts caregivers of a fall, of the client leaving a geo-fenced safe zone, and of sudden changes in vital signs. Caregivers can schedule reminders and messages to be sent to loved one throughout the week. The app supports data and alerts for any number of caregivers on iPhone or Android devices. Technology cannot remove the helpless feeling of gradually losing a loved one to cognitive decline. However, we can be grateful to technology for removing some of the burden.

What Is Stolen Device Protection?
Stolen Device Protection keeps your iPhone secure by preventing changes to your passcode or Apple ID password. Additionally, accessing passwords requires Face ID authentication and does not fall back to your passcode, meaning only your face can unlock them. This is a great feature that helps combat thieves who might figure out your passcode. Everyone who has access to this feature should enable it.
However, a strange phenomenon has happened when some users have activated Stolen Device Protection. Sometimes, when Stolen Device Protection on your iPhone is turned on, you might go to change your passcode or make a change to your Apple ID and you’ll get a message saying you’re not at home, so you’ll have to wait an hour to make changes, despite the fact that you are at home. Stolen Device Protection Needs Significant Locations
In order for Stolen Device Protection to know you’re at home, it needs access to your location, specifically Significant Locations. Before doing anything else, let’s make sure you have Significant Locations enabled:
* Open the Settings app, and tap Privacy & Security.
* Tap Location Services.
* Scroll all the way to the bottom and select, System Services.
* Tap Significant Locations.
* Make sure Significant Locations is toggled on.
With Significant Locations enabled, your iPhone should be able to better recognize when you are at home. However, you also need to make sure you have a home address added to your iPhone.
How to Add Your Home Address to iPhone
Now that you have Significant Locations added, let’s add your home address. You can also follow these steps to add your work or other important locations:
* Open the Maps app.
* Tap your profile icon, next to the search bar.
* Tap Favorites.
* Tap the plus icon in the lower right.
* Type in the address you want to add, and then tap the plus icon next to it.
* Under Type, select which type of address this is. For example, if you are adding your home address, tap My home.
* Your contact card will pop up. Tap Update to update your address on your contact card.
* Tap Done.

How to Fix Front Camera Not Working iPhone
Did you open the Camera app and switch from the back camera to the front just to see a black screen? It happens! Here's how to fix your iPhone's front-facing camera not working:
1. Force Quit the Camera App
Swipe up from the bottom of your display and swipe up over the Camera app to force quit it. This will fix any random glitches that your Camera app may be experiencing.
2. Restart Your iPhone
If your front camera is still not working, try restarting your iPhone next. Hold in the Side and volume up buttons simultaneously until you see the ‘slide to power off’ slider. This will reset your phone and can help it function as it should.
3. Check for Screen Damage
Any cracks or other damage to your iPhone display could result in problems with the front camera. If you do notice any physical problems, you’ll have to take your iPhone to an Apple Authorized Service Provider. If you have AppleCare+, fixing your iPhone screen could cost as little as $29.
4. Clean Your Front Camera Lens
While your iPhone is restarting, make sure there are no fingerprints, dirt, or debris on the front camera lens. Be very careful cleaning your iPhone’s lenses. Use a dry microfiber or another type of lint-free cloth to wipe the lenses gently.

Avoid using paper towels, toilet paper, or other materials with harsh fibers like wood pulp. Do not use any chemical cleaners.
5. Make Sure Your Storage Isn’t Full

That's why sometimes a selfie looks weird, because the camera doesn't mirror the image, so you see yourself the way others see you rather than how you see yourself. I like to turn the iPhone mirror front camera feature on so that my selfies look the way I expect them to look based on what I see when I look in the mirror, but this is a personal preference.
Other Camera settings that I recommend turning on are Lens Correction, Macro Control, Grid, Level, View Outside the Frame. I also recommend keeping Prioritize Faster Shooting off because it can lower the overall quality of your images. How to Save Photos from Files to Camera Roll

Accessing iCloud content from your iPhone is an amazing way to always have access to your important documents. However, if you want to move photos or videos from the Files app to the Photos app on your iPhone, you might want to know if it's possible. Luckily, it is! As long as you have enough storage on your iPhone, you can save photos and videos from files to your camera roll. Here's how to import photos or videos from Files to Photos.
Move Videos or Photos from Files to the iPhone Photos App
Before you can properly transfer photos or videos from Files to your photo gallery, make sure you can find the file in the Files app and your iPhone has enough storage to download the video or photo. * I’ll teach you how to reverse a video using paid websites and apps, plus a neat trick to do it for free!
Reversing a video on your iPhone is not as straightforward as it should be. I’ll teach you how to reverse a video on iPhones using websites and third-party apps. While the easiest and quickest solutions are paid, I will also teach you how to put a video in reverse for free!

How Do You Reverse a Video Using a Third-Party App
There is a wide selection of third-party apps with video reverse features, and most are free to download but have premium fees. Some apps will reverse a limited number of videos for free but will include a watermark or will export at a lower quality.
Since most of these apps have fees anyway, my go-to is Filmora: AI Video Editor, Maker ($34.99/year) because it is cheaper than apps such as Reverse Vid: Video Reverser ($49.99/year), but it has lots of bonus features. They have a three-day trial if you wish to try it out before making the commitment, or if you only have a select number of videos to reverse. Here's how to reverse a video with iPhone using Filmora:
* Download Filmora from the App Store and open it. You'll have to make an account the first time you use it.
* Tap New Project.
* The first time you do this, you’ll have to give the app access to your Photo Library. Tap Allow Full Access or Limit Access.
* Once your content is loaded, you can pick something out either under All or tap Video to see all your videos.
* Select the video(s) and tap Import.
* Tap on the video clip once it is finished loading.
* At the bottom of your screen, swipe to the very left until you see Reverse. Select it.
* You can now make other edits if you wish. To save the reversed video on your iPhone, tap Export.
* Select a resolution and frames per second, toggle on Remove Watermark and Smart HDR for best results, and then tap Export.
Do not lock your phone or close the app while the video exports. Once it is finished, the video will show up in your Photos app. The great thing about Filmora is that it will offer you lots of tips on how to use it and the many features it offers.
How to Reverse a Video Online Using a Website
If you don’t want to download a whole new app, you can always use a website to reverse videos. Again, there are many to choose from. I’ll show you how to do it with Clideo, which offers free video reverse features but includes a watermark unless you pay a fee of $9/month or $72 a year for premium features.
Warning
Unlike apps in the app store that are heavily vetted by Apple, using websites can be a lot more risky. When uploading or downloading content from any website, make sure you read the fine print and proceed with caution.
* Open

* Tap Choose file.

* Select Photo Library, Take Video, or Choose File, depending on your needs. You may need to give your browser access to your Photo Library if you haven't done that in the past.
* Select the video you wish to reverse.
* Tap Done.
* Once the video is uploaded, tap Export.
* Here you can select your preferred reverse speed, choose to Mute the video if you wish, then tap Export.
* Now you can view the reversed video and tap Download. If you tap Remove watermark, you will be prompted to create a paid account. You will need to create an account to download the video. Follow the onscreen directions to do this, and don't forget that if you Sign in with Apple, you can use Hide My Email.
* Once your account is created, tap Download.
* The video will appear in your Files app. If you want to move it to your Photos app, open the video in your Files app.
* Tap the share icon.
* Select Save Video.
Pro Tip
You can edit the video in the Photos app and crop it to remove the watermark. However, this is ethically questionable, and Clideo may have rules against doing this.

How to Reverse Video on Mac for Free
Unfortunately, there is no native app that can reverse videos on your iPhone. Since I have a MacBook, I personally just AirDrop the video there and use iMovie to reverse it. For some reason, the iPhone version of iMovie doesn't offer the reverse feature, and neither does the Photos app. To do this:
* AirDrop the video you wish to reverse from your iPhone to your Mac. Or find it in your Mac's Photos app if you have your photos and videos synced across your devices.
* Open iMovie on your Mac.
* While in the Projects tab, click Create New.
* Select Movie.
* Find your movie in Finder, then drag and drop the video into the video editing area.
* Select the video.
* Tap the Speed button.
* Check the Reverse box.
* Click the Share icon.
* Select Export File.
* Make any changes to the quality and speed of the video, then click Next.
* Select a location where you want to save the video and rename it if you wish, then click Save. Depending on the length of the video, it might take some time to finish exporting.
* Right click (or press the control key then select) the exported video and click Share.
* Select AirDrop and select your iPhone.
iMovie is a useful app for editing videos. I really hope that in the future, iMovie on iPhones and iPads will get more features, such as video reversing!
Now you know how to reverse a video on iPhone using either a website or a third-party app. Hopefully, a future iOS update will add a reverse video feature to the Photos app, but until then, you have a few options, including several free ones.

How Do Passkeys Work?
Passkeys are an alternate, secure way to sign into your online accounts with your iPhone. Instead of a password, a passkey allows you to quickly access your account with Face ID. This saves time since you don't need to enter your email and password to sign in, but it is still just as secure since you need Face ID to access your account. However, keep in mind that if Face ID fails, it will fall back to your device passcode.
How to Use iCloud Passkeys
First, you'll need to enable iCloud passkeys in the Settings app; then, I'll cover how to set up a passkey for an account. The process for enabling passkeys for your accounts will vary slightly depending on the account. For the screenshots below, I used my Amazon account. Now, let's go over iCloud passkeys:
* Open the Settings app and tap Passwords.
* Tap Password Options.
* Make sure the AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys toggle is enabled.
* If you're using iCloud Keychain, scroll down to the Use Passwords and Passkeys From section and make sure that iCloud Passwords & Keychain is selected.
* Navigate to a website that supports passkeys. Sign into your account like normal, and if you see a screen asking to set up a passkey, tap Set up a passkey. If you don't see an option to set up a passkey while logging in, check your account settings.
* Tap Continue.
* Allow the Face ID scan to activate.
* Tap Continue.
* Next time you log in to the account, tap Sign in with a passkey.
* Tap Continue to sign in.
* If you see an option that says, "Sign in to [website.com] with your saved passkey?" tap the login button below.

Is your iPhone plugged in but not charging? You're not alone! If you experience your iPhone not holding charge or even draining battery while plugged in, the steps below will help you fix this. 1. Restart Your iPhone

2. Clean Your iPhone’s Charging Port
Dirt, dust, or debris in your iPhone's charging port can cause charging issues, such as overheating, not charging, or even charging backward. You can clean your iPhone charging port with a toothpick, but make sure to turn your phone off first and be very careful. You could also use a wireless charger instead.
3. Try Another Charging Cable & Brick
If a dirty port doesn't do the trick, try a different charging cable and charging brick. Make sure to use MFI-certified (made for iPhone) accessories, and make sure you don't see any physical signs of damage. If you are using a portable charger, make sure you are using the correct port/setting to make sure you are charging your phone and not the charger—which can happen! Finally, you should also double-check that the outlet you are using works properly because, in rare cases, that could also be your problem.
4. Turn Off Optimized Battery Charging
Once you've ruled out a hardware problem, let's tackle the settings. Disabling optimized battery charging can make your phone charge to full faster. Do keep in mind that turning optimized battery charging off could harm your iPhone's battery life in the long run.
5. Update Your iPhone
There are 101 reasons why you should keep your iPhone running the latest software, and one of them is to optimize your charging. However, you do need to have your iPhone charged to a certain percentage to do this, so you may need to try the other steps in this article before you can update your iPhone. But in the future, keep your iPhone up to date for it to work at its best.
Note
Right after an iOS update, it is normal for your iPhone to drain faster than usual. However, post-update background activities should not cause battery loss while charging.
6. Check Your iPhone's Battery Health
Sometimes, the culprit is your iPhone's battery itself. Just tap Battery Health & Charging in the same settings where you turned off optimized battery charging. A new iPhone should say 100% next to Maximum Capacity, while older iPhones may drop. A healthy battery life should be over 80%, and if your iPhone's battery life drops to 80% or less, you will be notified. If your iPhone is covered by AppleCare+, you should be able to replace an unhealthy battery free of charge.
7. Enable Low Power Mode
Low Power mode exists to help keep your phone running longer in case of an emergency or to charge faster. If your iPhone is in Low Power mode and still charging backward, we have one more step for you to try.
8. Let Your Battery Drain Completely
If nothing else worked, unplug your iPhone and let your battery drain completely. Once you've done that, try to plug it back in and see if it charges normally. Unfortunately, if this doesn't work, then you'll have to contact Apple Support.

How to Recover Call History on iPhone via iCloud Backup
Using Finder on your Mac, you can restore a backup to your iPhone from iCloud or from the computer. This is the simplest way to restore your iPhone from iCloud or another backup.
