In this era of cheap, plastic disposable gadgets, it was nice to see the Wireless Charging Stone ($69.90) Eggtronic sent me to review. This is a serious, made-to-last Qi charger. Sure there are lots of wireless iPhone chargers to choose from, but only Eggtronic offers ones made out of actual stone: marble, travertine, and lava.
As good as they look, the Eggtronic Wireless Charging Stones are about more than looks. They deliver 10 watts of power to support fast charging. A braided fabric cable is built-in to the charging base. At three feet, it's on the short side, and because it's built-in, it can't be replaced with a longer one. But it could be plugged in to a USB extension cord or USB hub.
